About Me

Christy has been working as a pianist, organist, accompanist and private teacher in the Calgary area for over 20 years.  She currently teaches in her home studio located in the NE of Calgary.  Arts opportunities in this city are diverse and she has gained much experience through all it has to offer.

Work experience

  • Ballet accompanist for School of Alberta Ballet and the Young Canadians.
  • Church organist and worship director.
  • One Long Day album record with Bruce Millar and Friends.
  • Trained new piano teachers for local music school.
  • Taught many amazing piano students who have inspired and challenged her to grow and change in her teaching skills.

Education and Memberships

  • Grade 10 piano – Royal Conservatory of Music.
  • BA degree in music – Asbury University.
  • Current member of the Alberta Piano Teacher’s Assoc.
